The Ming Dynasty was a ruling dynasty of China from 1368 to 1644, following the collapse of the Mongol-led Yuan Dynasty. It was founded by Emperor Hongwu, who established his capital in Nanjing and later moved it to Beijing. The Ming Dynasty is known for its economic prosperity, cultural achievements, and maritime exploration under the leadership of Admiral Zheng He. However, the dynasty also faced various challenges, including political corruption, internal rebellions, and attacks from nomadic tribes in the north. The Ming Dynasty came to an end in 1644 when Beijing was captured by the Manchu-led Qing Dynasty.
